Wg Cdr Kazi Abdul Matin (Retd)

Wing Commander K A Matin (Retd) joined IUBAT— International University of Business Agriculture and Technology in July 2007 as a full- time Faculty in the Department of Languages. He was elevated to the rank of Professor in May 2014. He was born in Jessore, Bangladesh in March 1953. He passed SSC examination from Jessore Board in 1968. He passed HSC exam from Dhaka College in 1970. He got himself admitted in Dhaka University in 1970 in the Department of English and graduated himself with honours in 1973 and did his Masters from the same University in 1974.

He then joined Bhawal Badre Alam College, Joydevpur in Dhaka as a Lecturer in English. As a lecturer, he received a training on IT (Instructional Techniques) and Class Management from the then Education Extension Centre, Dhaka. Afterwards, he left that college and joined Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and got commission in Education Branch in 1979. He served BAF in different capacities and got his retirement in 2008. While in BAF, he was sent to Royal Air Force (RAF), UK for training on Instructional Techniques (IT). In the country, he received training as Deputy President (DP) at the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) in the selection procedure of Cadets for the Armed Forces.

From BAF, he was sent for a UN mission for one year in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where he served in Bangladesh Air Contingent under UN Mandate. He performed holy hajj in 2005. He is married and father of three children. His hobbies are reading and watching TV.
