Md Masudur Rahman

Md Masudur Rahman is currently an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Languages at IUBAT. He joined this university as a lecturer in English in October 2018. Born and raised in the district of Jashore, Mr. Masud completed his Secondary and Higher Secondary education in Jashore before he got admitted to the University of Dhaka for studying BA (Hon’s) in English. Upon accomplishing his Bachelor’s degree with excellent results, he obtained his Master’s degree from the same department majoring in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching (ELT). For his outstanding academic performance, he was appointed as a Student Mentor of the English Department at the University of Dhaka, where he served for nearly two years. In 2017, he joined as a full-time Lecturer in the Department of English at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB), where he served from March 2017 to September 2018, just before he joined IUBAT- International University of Business Agriculture and Technology.

As an academic, Mr. Masud has immense teaching and research interest in English Phonetics and Phonology, English Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, and Sociolinguistics. He is particularly skilled at teaching English (grammar, writing, pronunciation, and speaking) to speakers of other languages.
