Fawzia Yakub was born in Kishoregonj. She completed her Secondary and Higher Secondary education from there. She was admitted into Jahangirnagar University in 2001 and obtained her Honors Degree in English Literature in 2008 and Master’s Degree in English Linguistics in 2009 from there.
In Master’s, her major courses were Applied Linguistics and ELT, Sociolinguistics and Psycholinguistics. As a partial fulfillment of the requirement for the Degree of Masters of Arts in English, she carried out her dissertation on Effect of Learners’ Personality in Learning EFL. In academic field, she is interested in Psycholinguistics and Sociolinguistics. Reading books is her favourite pastime. She is also interested in movies and listening to music.
